Spring has hit the fast-forward button around here, much earlier than would have been considered normal a few decades back. We might yet see cold weather resurge, but crocuses and snowdrops have been followed by daffodils, and the trees are charging full-on into pollen season (unfortunately). I went out for a local group on a five-mile morning trek through the Fells, and the frogs were a loud chorus whenever we passed a vernal pond.
